For
already licensed pilots visiting Hawaii, we would be
happy to work with you in obtaining a single-engine
seaplane rating--one of the most fun ratings you can
add! We are using a 1980 Cessna U206 with a 300 hp
engine and constant speed propeller for the
training. The training is done on salt water
and
will provide you with some real experience in rough
water, tides, and actual sailing of the aircraft.
Seaplanes are our life and everyday vehicles, so we do
not believe in the one or two day "quickie"
ratings that are prevalent in the industry. Our
personnel all got their seaplane experience in working
seaplane operations--not doing training.
We
are currently offering a special on the training with
seven hours of flight time and the necessary ground
schooling for a price of $1995.00 plus tax. Each additional hour of seaplane training is $330.00 plus tax. We do
accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and JCB.
The FAA is giving the check ride so there are no
examiner's fees. Here again, we are so proud of
our training that we utilize the FAA for the
certification, no "examiner on staff" just
signing you off after you pay the fee.
We
are not primarily a training facility, so we usually
need a week or two advance notice to fit you in the
schedule. A deposit of $100.00 will reserve your
time. Please allow a minimum of four days for the
training. We are also offering a Canadian Pilot
course to add a U.S. Commercial to their resume.
They only need a Canadian license with a seaplane
endorsement.
